living your best life

When it comes to life lessons, I’ve had the pleasure (and the fear, the pain, the frustration) of moving through my fair share. But the school of hard knocks, like any other educational institution, ends, and thus, it is important to know when the experiences and lessons that had challenged us so greatly no longer need to be such a focal point in our lives.
The idea of living your best life after enduring traumatic events starts by breaking the cycle of worry and anxiety, which served as an emotional alert system while in the midst of the experience, and actualizing being at the turning point from recovery to recovered. By taking ownership over our understanding of the lessons we recently had the opportunity to learn, in combination with a genuine willingness to continue to move through life through the lens of self-compassion, we can actively participate in creating the optimal future for ourselves.
This blog is dedicated to everyday beauty; how recognizing it can create ah-ha moments where we realize we are actively living the life we always wanted to live. By honoring our growth and respecting the moment, we can actualize a future for ourselves we otherwise would have only dreamt of.
