Self-care is important and all, but let’s cut to the good stuff and talk luxury. Life is a balance, and just as it’s healthy to have challenge and routine, so too is it to give yourself the gifts you deserve (or just the ones you want!) Living a life of luxury doesn’t necessarily have to be extravagant, although that’s fun too, it just means embodying the richest version of you.

The best part about treating oneself is how personal that concept even really is. For some, getting a fancy cocktail at dinner feels indulgent, whereas others might not get that feeling from anything short of flying on a private jet wearing a tiara. The act itself isn’t what’s important here, but the feeling that comes with it.
Adding splendor to your life should fill you with an abundance of self-love and self-respect. When I indulge in a spa day (even at home), I’m flooded with self-admiration for giving myself the extra dose of attention. Living a life of luxury should be invigorating, rejuvenating, and intentional.

You don’t have to spend big bucks on bringing brilliance into your life, either. As I just mentioned, an at-home spa day is one of my favorite ways to feel lush. It might not seem as sparkly as a weekend at The Ritz, but nonetheless, the practice of surrounding myself with rich scents, hot water, open air, and soft sounds leaves me feeling exceptionally whole.
When you live life luxuriously, one of vigor and “radical self-care“, you’re bonding with your true nature, your inner beauty. This can hugely increase your self-esteem and enhance your confidence to hurdle through the rest of life’s challenges. So, take the day off and go shopping, rent a boat, wear your best jewelry to the Farmer’s Market, and let the world see your brightest light shine.
